Sotero Aranguren

Sotero Aranguren Labairu (born 7 May 1894 in Buenos Aires, Argentina), is a former Spanish footballer born who spend his youth in Basque Country. He was a midfielder and played the most of his career for Real Madrid C.F.. He and his brother, Eulogio, were team-mates at Real Madrid.
==Biography==
He played for Real Madrid for seven years, between 1911 and 1918, and scoring 4 goals in 60 matches.

His premature death, at the age of 28 determined the club to build in 1925 a statue representing Sotero and one of his team-mates, Machimbarrena (who also died young) at the entrance of the first team's locker room. The statue stands at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in nowadays, and is seen as an inspiration totem for Real Madrid's generations of footballers.
Together with his brother, they were the firsts Argentine footballers who played for Real Madrid.
